Hi Bill, I just wanted to let you know that I went to the Stratford store this morning at 7:50 AM, the store was open and they were all set to take in and inspect my car. Unfortunately, nothing needed to be done. After the initial inspection, I was asked to come in and see what was found in both rear and front brakes, nothing! The drums were ok and no leaking master cylinders, the front disk pads had normal wear but didn’t warrant replacing yet and both rotors were ok too. So, unfortunately, I couldn’t give you any business today. I hope you didn’t get the guys to work early for nothing! Maybe they thought they were going to be on the ‘Undercover Boss’ show? (lol) I did explain that I was going on a trip to Niagara Falls in late May and that’s one reason why I wanted to have the brakes inspected and repaired if necessary. The other reason is with 62,2K miles, I don’t know when the last brake repair job was done, which must’ve been done at some point as I don’t think I could go have the car driven that far without one. I know I’m easy on my brakes, but even still. Also, I asked about the $50 Gift Certificate and was told that if I had the brakes repaired, I could have a 10% discount or the $50 discount, whichever was better, but not exceeding $50 either way; which is great nevertheless! So that gift certificate is for general public use! – Just not to be combined with any other offer! Excellent! Additionally, and as always, the staff all exceeded my expectations for friendliness, advice, courtesy, and respect and customer service! I will be back! Have a great day! Tom tj53@optonline.net

I was very pleased with the honesty and even more, the time the service person took to explain what was and wasn't needed to be done. Chris S. Joe's been with the company for 9 years. Polite, knowledgeable and seems honest. Charged me for new pads - $160, when Midas wanted over $1,000 to replace four pads, four rotors, bleed the lines, new calipers.
Truth was the pads and rotors were still good. Midas (in Norwalk, near Merritt 7) pressed me to get over $1,000 worth of work done. Joe inspected my brakes and told me to come bak in 3-4,000 miles. When I did he replaced the pads. Nothing else. Trust this place with your car.

Comments: i went to the Stratford location, before 8am...they were there early making everything safe and sanded after the storm ...I got right in I was diagnosed and repaired quickly..its been a couple of weeks and I am quite satisfied! A good friend works for a garage in Fairfield and quoted me approx. $700 for pads all around and a brake flush, I told her I paid half and she could not believe it! The $50. off was a great added bonus!!

Good afternoon. I am a recent customer of you Stratford shop. I brought my 96 F150 in to have 2 broken studs replaced. While my brakes were good, the caliper clips were a little worn and stretched. They were usable but upon re-assembly your employee Jamie noticed they were a little noisy. He put the truck on the lift 3 seperate times between test drives to remedy the problem. I appreciate his dedication and pride in a job well done. This shop is one of a few that I would highly recommend to friends and family.

Hi, I would just like to tell you about the experience i had at the Brake Center in Norwalk on Hoyt/Cross street, today. I had two flat tires, I changed one of them then drove my car there since i live 2 minutes away,to see of they could repair the other tire since it was not yet all the way flat. Can I just tell you how impressed I was with the people that were working there. They were the most helpful and nicest people I have ever dealt with. They plugged both my tires quickly, were extremly friendly, they went above and beyond even gluing a piece of paneling that was loose on my car while they were fixing the tires, they put the spare back in my car and put the jack and everything else back nicely in my car even though they didnt have to. I will definitely use this place again for brakes or tires. Your lucky to have good employees working for your business. Thank you Danielle

I just wanted to let you know that I am very pleased and satisfied with the past experience I had at the Stratford office regarding the integrity and quality of the brake service received, the honesty and time of the serviceperson to explain what was and was not needed to be done, and just how I was treated as a person with respect and courtesy.
I am now coming back to this office again for brake service with not just my car, but two additional family member cars. And that is important to me! That not only do I feel confident in the service for myself, but that I would recommend this office to anyone else, especially my family, because I trust the Stratford Brake Centers to give them the same quality work that I originally received.

Last week I brought my cars in for brake service to the Stratford store and again was not disappointed.
Al and company treated my daughter and I with the same courtesy and respect as previously received and with no less their professionalism, integrity and guarantee of brake service and parts. It is very much appreciated that they take their time to explain the post-service break-in period, type of brake parts used and why and time of brake warrantee, recommendations for what is required and what needs to be done even when it's not a service they can provide, i.e. an alignment after a tie-rod replacement, and them just working with you in general to ensure you understand and are satisfied with what's going to be done ahead of time; with the work and the out-the-door price.
And then to receive a follow-up call from Al to ensure I am satisfied with the brake work and that everything is ok with the cars, well you just can't beat customer service like that!
I walk away knowing that I respect and trust these servicepersons for their integrity and quality of brake service, and that I do, have, and will continue to be a loyal customer and recommend this store to everyone.

I had such a great experience last time, I have another vehicle that needs brakes.  It is a 2006 Subaru Tribeca.  It currently needs front brake pads (20%).  I like the ceramic on the minivan, so I wish to go with those on the Subaru.  Thursday or Friday morning would be good for me if you have any openings in Stratford.  Let me know.

Hi Bill, I went to your Bridgeport store last week for brake service (Thursday?) @ 2:40pm and
they apologized and said they were booked the rest of the day and invited to come back
the next morning. I said I live in Darien and said that I'd prefer not to go to Stamford.
That's when the Manager or Technician told me about the Norwalk Brake Center store.
I asked if they would please see if they could take me that day, so they
phoned the store and told them that I'd be coming.
It worked out, so I thought I'd commend your men and tell you.

I hope this finds you and your family well.  I was in your Stamford shop recently and will head back tomorrow with another vehicle that I suspect is due for pads all around.  Here is my dilemma.  I have a coupon (big green postcard) for Brake Centers that is for $20/wheel with "no expiration".  I feel guilty presenting it as it is obviously "dated" and you are the most honorable and most community minded local business person I support.  You do not take advantage of your customers and I do not want to take advantage of you.  So, what would be an appropriate price for four pads (ceramic) for my 2006 Altima?
